it was actually sultan Muhamadu Maccido that was turbaned in 1996 who died in a Plane Crash in 2006 after which sultan Abubakar Saad III mounted the throne of his ancestors

10 years a short reign? A decade Even Dan Fodio had 10 years. It's easier to forget Dasuki's short reign (8 years) than Maccido's. Maccido died ten years ago and tributes were paid to him recently.

We all learn everyday, don't take it p.
