The 2016 convocation ceremony of the University of Ibadan which took place on Monday, 14th November 2016 , a total of 5,598 students graduated with a first class degree .
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Idowu Olayinka, said the graduates made First Class Honours, 1,407 graduands came out with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) while 3,020 made Second Class Honours (Lower Division). 666 made Third Class Honours and 74 others had Passes with 314 in the Unclassified Degree category.

Lol. This school made sure the doors to the hall was locked so the graduands had to finish the program before they could go join their families for convocation. Typical Nigerian school, they'll torment you even to the point of convocation

What are you even insinuating? The best university in Nigeria is it Futo or UI?

I still dont get how some people think?? Tons of first-class are churned out from the likes of Harvard, MIT, Stanford and even Yale yearly and they are still considered among the best universities in the world. But once a Nigerian university produce a good amount of first class it becomes inferior to it other counterparts in the country. What arrant nonsesnse.

Ui about 3 years ago introduced a distance learning prog at masters level. First set graduated last year and up till now, no result, no convocation. Can we say dis great institution is now practising 419?
