The Lagos State Police Command has promised to investigate the reported lynching of a 7-year old boy for alleged theft. The exact location where the incident occurred is currently unknown, but photos and videos surfaced on social media early Wednesday morning. Those who participated in this murderous act will think they effected justice but they've sown a seed of terror into their own lives. The judgment far exceeded the crime. If he stole food, the foolish executioners should have known that he was hungry. Rehabilitation should have been the proper approach rather than this senseless killing. |
