nah not necessarily, i wasn't referring to a specific application but lots of audio modifications apps that let you tweak your devices audio output into your favor. I on some occasion had to dispose some Verizon branded phones due to their locked bootloader which denied me rooting access just for audio mods. Example of audio mod apps include : arise, Viper4Android, extreme beats, pon-3.
