One can only imagine the extent of rot in the system.They tell us everyday that Nigeria is under-policed, yet private individuals go about with heavy security details. Is this how the taxpayers' money is being squandered in Nigeria?

See the way so many of are busy talking up and down because police escorts followed somebody. Well, I don't have any business with Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor or whatever he's called, just want to tell you people 2 things, viz:
(1) So, because he's a Pastor and claims to be a man of God, your brains tell you that he should not have physical security? SMH! I've been hearing this same reaction/talks anytime people see Pastors with physical securitymen. If you are a christian, does God come to open and lock your housegate for you? Does God man the gate in your home or business premises? Does God come to control and curtail crowd in your programs? Why will you people be condemning a Pastor for having security? If someone or a group of people walk up to him there now to physically attack him or grab him or mug him, what will he do alone to defend himself? There's a difference between "protection" and "security". FYI...for your information, God protects but man secures. There's nothing wrong if a human being deems it necessary to have security guards.
(2) Secondly, talking about the security being policemen, it appears many of you are not enlightened enough to know that those police escorts you see with dignitaries are usually paid for, same as the ones you see in places like banks. There's amount you pay for regular police and amount for mobile police, with the latter being more expensive. Police Force makes millions from that monthly, which boosts their revenue. I'm surprised that some of you are even saying taxpayers money is being wasted, how funny and pathetic! Are you people so ignorant?!! It is part of the law establishing Police Force that they provide commercial security services (that is, paid services) to individuals and corporate bodies, and it's not only in Nigeria that that happens, it's also like that in many other countries. In fact, in some countries, it's even free if you are a highly placed person and you feel you are in danger and need extra protection.

I'm sure those guys didn't follow him from where he was coming from. It is possible they were hired by the organisers of the show or they joined his convoy at the entrance of the town. They know his worth and all they want is their own settlement. Don't blame them.
