No more Saturdays environmental sanitation day in Lagos. Lagos State has cancelled environmental exercises which hitherto held for three hours on the last Saturday of every month. Lagos government noted that considering the present economic situation in the country, it was no longer appropriate to restrict movement of people for three hours in a mega city like Lagos at a time they should be pursuing commercial and entrepreneurial activities. |

How many times will he flip-flop on this matter? Early this year, he cancelled it, people like Jimi Disu of Classic FM hailed him. In less than 24 hrs his Master at Bourdillion called him to reverse it because his refuse collection business anchored by Alpha-Beta Consulting will lose money. Ambode hurriedly reversed himself. I can foresee Ambode finally standing up to to Tinubu before his first term runs out. Already, he has thrown out a few core Tinubu loyalists from his cabinet on grounds of disrespect and insubordination. Those commissioners know where the real power lies, so they don't respect Ambode |

It was not Ambode that cancelled the monthly environmental sanitation exercise, it was the courts. The appeal court earlier this month declared the forced sanitation illegal and against the constitutionally guaranteed rights to free movement. This was after Fashola lost the same case at the high court a few years ago. It would have been foolish for Ambode to challenge the appeal court's decision at the supreme court. You cannot place restrictions on citizens because you want them to sweep and clean gutters in one day of the month, just like you cannot impose on citizens when to take a bath. You can only enact laws to punish citizens who litter their surroundings or dwell in filthy surroundings. |

moufan: Difficult at times to share privileged info with people who just follow politicians with their eyes and brains locked up. Dude believe what makes you comfortable. Two years ago, nobody in "his right mind" would believe that Fashola will ever have beef with Tinubu, after the former literally put the treasury of Lagos State at Tinubu's beck and call. The state was cleaned out by Tinubu ostensibly to fund the APC campaign. Ambode came in and screamed that he met an empty treasury. If you need more insight, put a personal call through to Jimi Disu. I'm done. |

cuteboy2:hahaha,jimi disu of classic fm is a well known anti-ambode/tinubu journalist. his hatred for ambode/tinubu is second to none amongst Lagos journalists.many complaints and petitions have been written against him by lots of people on his show at classic fm,but it seems classic fm likes him.so if your information about ambode/tinubu is coming from Jimi disu then i expect such information to be pure lie and hate |

jarkbauer: If you do not know the full extent of Tinubu's business empire and their inextricable linkage to Lagos State Govt money spinning centres, try and investigate than casting aspersion on people. Alpha Beta Consulting does tax collection in Lagos and other APC states in South West, including Edo. ALBA Nig Ltd is a coinage from Alpha Beta (AL-Alpha and BA-Beta). It does refuse hauling. Their trucks are parked next to the toll-plaza near Oriental Hotel. They do their refuse transhipment and truck repairs behind the fence mesh separating the highway from the layby. You cannot miss their trucks. See attached pictures
