Actually its not. I once created a topic were i said regional parties are the way to go in Nigeria.

We keep saying Nigeria should be structured along regional lines but we all know chances of that happening are slim so whats the next best thing? Regional parties.

Imagine Nnamdi Kanu floating a party with the soul goal of protecting the interests of the SE people, and all regions doing the same..What do you think would happen?

And the is the reason why this new party will emerge from the north central region which will champion the course of Benue people and North Central at large so that people like you will know the power of North Central in Nigeria.

The end to that farce is near. An idea whose time has come has a way of humbling over-bloated demagogues.

The seed of discord cleverly planted in the North by O.BJ during his tenure is now yielding fruits gradually. Remember Jonathan won 3 states in the North. When I sometimes call those core -northern mumu, I get criticized but the reality is they are Mumu by falling for O.B.J's trap back then when he selected capable people from North Central to Represents Northerners but the Hausa/Fulani people foolishly said they the N.C people are not Real Hausa/Fulani's! They told baba exactly that back then!!

Well I look at Buhari and laugh in Benue tone. Those saying Jagaban can not disrupt A.P.C are jokers. There is a Big Visible Crack on the Wall of this "one naijeria" Core Northerners already waiting to be widened further by Jagaban. The signs are visible people. Buhari is gone for good!!

we don't want any southern unity. all we need is Separate state called biafra. and don't forget that Yoruba are the saboutuers of the South.

Is that so ? When were you born ? Why are you so bereft of accurate history ?
FYI, United Peoples Grand Alliance (UPGA) was a southern coalition of the Southeast, Mid-West and Western regions to deal with the north but the mission was sabotaged by Nnamdi Azikiwe, the political harlot of that era. Decades later, Chief Michael Okpara, Azikiwe's right-hand man, publicly confessed that he would forever regret the fact that he was one of those that did not allow Zik to work with Awolowo which union would've been far better for the south in particular and Nigeria in general.

When there was no clear winner in a national election between NCNC, NPC and AG, a merger was needed between any two to form the government. Azikiwe of the NCNC was the ceremonial president constitutionally empowered to invite either of the other two to form the government. The AG stood a better chance because it had a better national spread than NPC having won votes in the middle belt and Bakolori province of Sokoto. In addition, it was the best ever opportunity for the south to administer the country. Whilst all sane people confidently expected Zik to invite the AG based on the expediencies of the time, he surprisingly invited the NPC instead.

Again in the second republic of NPN, NPP, UPN, etc, another opportunity presented itself for the south to take over the helm of affairs. Awolowo of the UPN, even though his party would be the senior partner in a merger between the two having won more votes with more national spread, willingly offered his deserved slot, the presidency, to Zik and the finance portfolio for himself, Azikiwe again turned his back on the agreement and merged with his lords from the north.

To buttress my reference to Zik as a political harlot/LovePeddler/prostitute of Nigeria, it is on record that he once refered to himself thus - "am the beautiful bride of nigerian politics".

So the saboteur has always come from the southeast.

During the civil war, the same man played the role of breakfast with Ojukwu and supper with Gowon. These are historical facts that are verifiable.

Over-bloated and naive people like you are in for a shocker.
As we approach 2019, certain zones of the country will gradually revert to regional politics with restructuring as the main target and any candidate that does not make restructuring as the thrust of his/her campaign will not get the votes of those regions.
Formation of Buhari's cabinet and his derogatory remarks about the report of 2014 confab have convinced virtually everyone except the delusional ones that restructuring and regional system is the next best thing that can happen to this country if violent disollution is to be prevented.

No political party formed on regional basis ever succeeds, especially for a multi ethnic region like the NC.
ACN succeeded to a large extent until Tinubu got greedy and thought he could extend his kleptomanic fingers to d federal purse.

ACN never "declared" itself to be a regional party. It only got popular in the SW. And FYI, the party was founded by Atiku Abubakar.
