Valarinz, Well done on your nice and consistent campaign about Volvo. I want to get an XC90. In was told to avoid 3.2, t6 and v8 cos of engine and transmission reliability issues. However, I noticed T5 is not usually packed with gadgets and have never seen any 07, 08 T5. Please can you sincerely educate us on reliability of each engine spec of xc90. You are an authority here

Fixed.

V8 got the most rugged and reliable engine, followed by 3.2 then T5.
T5 however has the best mpg rating, and you're right about there being no T5 post 06

There's nothing wrong with the XC70, the low popularity mainly has to do with fashion. It's more popular with the undertakes, smugglers and biz men

Hello house. Please what might be the possible causes of high fuel consumption in Volvo S60 turbo 2005 model.

I'm currently doing 16.7mpg highway and city combined and this is really discouraging.

I have got the car scanned but the only thing the technician did was to change the fuel pressure sensor despite the fact that the machine displayed error relating to "leakage" which I guess has to do with vaccum.

I have noticed the following which I need advice as to whether can be the reason for the high fuel consumption;

(1) Fuel gauge malfunctioning. Does not get close to maximum even when you fill the tank to the brim.
(2) Fractured/leaking vaccine hose underneath of the vehicle.
(3) Car does not start at first cranking. You will need to crank the engine 2nd time.

If this high fuel consumption issue can be resolved, I will be the happiest person.

Why compare sleep to death?
The best thing to compare with a Volvo are premium brands like Mercedes Benz, Lexus, acura, infiniti, BMW, Audi etc.

This car is by no means a 2009 S60, it's an 02 model.

Cosmetic changes has been done on it to make it look like an 09, the bumpers, side mirrors and headlamps. But still it's an 02 model.

Buy it if u love it, but it's better to known what you're buying
