once will do the job, two to be double sure(i always go for this) and three just for crossing sake sha, two is enough. You should give a space of at least one day in between crossings.

you can lure how out with meat, once she is outside her territory she won't show aggression towards you. Feed her ASAP and check on the puppies else she might just smother them and/or eat them. Make sure her breasts is running and the puppies sucking, goodluck.
