The last has not been heard of the confirmation crisis rocking the embattled Chairman of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu. The Nigerian Senate had last week Thursday rejected the nomination of Magu by Buhari as the Chairman of the EFCC. The upper chamber of the National Assembly had cited “security reports” as the reason for the rejection. The “security report” by the DSS, SKYTREND NEWS gathered alleged that Magu’s activities made him ineligible to hold the office, as the report listed several alleged malpractices against the EFCC boss, of which the agency said his confirmation would frustrate the anti-graft drive of the Buhari-led administration.
