A Facebook user sent these photos about protests in Ikogosi, Ekiti State over the absence of light for two years. According to further reports, youths staged a demonstration to the Ikogosi resort, where cold and warm streams flow side by side, a major tourist attraction in the entire Ekiti State. They blocked roads leading into the town from the outside world, chanting and waving placards. They want the authorities to act immediately and restore light to the town. Photos after the cut.

Politicians sold PHCN to themselves with no experience to run the companies. They can't even pay for electricity bought from generating companies. They want the Government to keep using tax payers money to maintain their plants

Where is Mr.Fayose?..Is he in the hiding?...Ekiti state is experiencing epileptic power supply but the so- called people's governor has no answer to this problem...More protest, and agitation awaits Mr Fayose...You have failed the people of Ekiti...Its high time you do the work,and stop been proud like the peacock

The power (electricity) is almost everywhere in Nigeria. My sincere prayer is that may this year darkness period not be at last year ending.
