What on earth is the meaning of these stupid carnivals?... We have our own culture, we have traditional masquerade festivals with different kinds of 'mmonwu' but we've thrown our culture away under the guise of religion, and now we think the most fashionable thing to do is to import carribbean culture.

Inferiority complex at its peak!

While other states are busy thanking God, Imo and Cross River are busy worshipping satan in the name of carnival, now wonder they are backward in all indexes in their respective regions.

How are Imo and Cross River backward?

And how do carnivals celebrate the non-existent satan?

What revenue will this accrue to d state. U follow Ayade, ask civil servants in cross river if they're been owed. Only God. Judge u all d monies uv looted will hunt u one. day.

I watched part of the carnival live on TV! The toad-like governor was just behaving like a slowpoke during the whole activity clapping and gesticulating like an imbecilic pig at any slightest mediocre move from the participants which doesn't even warrant a second look from other spectators.

Even the fat kids sitting behind him behaved like adults and showed no emotions at the dismal performances of the participants who ought to learn a thing or two from the Calabarians.

Shameless Fat Governor!! undecided

IFEANNYI:
Africans should do as africans and celebrate festivals rather than all this imported carnivals.

Owerri Carnival imported by Rocha. Young girls and boys bussed in from Imo interior to come to witness Rochas "wonder-developments" in the state capital.
Imo state outside Owerri has been dormant and abandoned by Rocha government since the governor joined the APC.

Rocha must have enjoyed Brazilian carnival.

Owerri is choking from congestion due to overpopulation. Daily sea of heads on the streets and traffic congestion.

But other Imo towns are all empty. Because Rocha refused to provide social amenities outside the state capital. He would rather duplicate or triplicate and oftentimes quadruple the same amenity in the state capital.

Worse, there's nobody who can tell Rocha that the only method to decongest the state capital is by modernizing some other towns in his state.
