I use IE6 and it doesnt show .swf content. Please I'll like to know if you have experienced this problem and how you tackled it.
After creating .swf, and I embed it in my webpage, all I see is a white background with nothing to show. I dont know it the problem is from my local PC (IE) or if it is a general problem.
How Do I solve this?

do u have flash pluggin installed if not go 2 macro media's website and download the flash pluggin

Yes I do have a flash pluggin installed. But yet .swf files dont show. I dont know if the problem is from the IE6.

them its time you looked to other browsers like opera and firefox personally i don't use ie due to its problems

This is a long shot but perhaps the version of flash u hv on ur IE is different from that of the flash version u r trying to view. What version of flash do you hv on ur IE? I think the later versions of flash u try to view have a sniffer that makes u download the latest version in order to view their content, but not all developers include that.

Again, this is a long shot. It could be something else. I hope this helps sha. I blv there is one of us who is organizing a seminar there in a wk or so (granted it's in flex, but he works for the guys who make flash ). Perhaps you could attend, ask him this question and get a response live and direct

If you did design the flash (.swf) yourself, use flash to publish the HTML file itself. It should work then. If you dont have flash, you can get a try ot version from adobe.com

Hello xdos, just saw your post and as a hint I would say you should take note of a yellow bar that appears at the top of your webpage. Just click right-click on it and select 'allow blocked content' and you are good to go. Remember to tell the board how if this solves it. Funny my coming late though as this is my first post on this blog and am ready to solve any web related probs you folks might have. See ya all!
