Tekno, the popular Pana crooner has been knocked out from the Next Rated list of the Headies Award 2016.

The category will now be open to the quartet of Mr Eazi, Aramide, Humblesmith and Ycee, as the ‘Pana’ hit star lost his ticket.

According to top sources, Tekno lost out on his spot due to his nonchalant attitude to grace the category and support the campaign.

As expected, the Nominees are to attend promotional activities for the event, and also take part in promotion for the sponsor of the category, Hyundai. Tekno refused to submit himself for engagements, promo campaign photos and more.

Tekno had earlier lambasted the Headies Awards when he was announced in the category. Using his Instagram, he said “Next rated after how many years! Let’s be honest pls”.
