The Wisest Saying You Have Ever Heard Or Read? by MosD: 7:14am On Dec 25, 2016 |
What is the wisest saying you have ever heard or read? Mine is "if you made a mistake and give excuse, you have made two." Since I read this years back, I simply take responsibility for my error and it has helped me a great deal. What is yours, it could change someone's life 1 Like |

If you are wise, intentionally add a little foolishness, too much wisdom can destroy a wise man. I got that from my dad, and it had been engraved in my mind, it has helped me in various aspect of life Jesus also said, agree with your enemy while you are on the way so he will not bother to bring you before the judge. 1 Like |

it is a splendid thing to think that the woman you really love will never grow old to you. Through the wrinkles of time, through the mask of years, if you really love her, you will always see the face you loved and won. And a woman who really loves a man does not see that he grows old; he is not decrepit to her; he does not tremble; he is not old; she always sees the same gallant gentleman who won her hand and heart. I like to think of it in that way; I like to think that love is eternal. And to love in that way and then go down the hill of life together, and as you go down, hear, perhaps, the laughter of grandchildren, while the birds of joy and love sing once more in the leafless branches of the tree of age. doubleportion: It's good we equip our self with wise sayings so we can impact positively in our children, the most intelligent quote I heard this year came from a lady's dad. She said her dad will often tell them that in the world of today, you have to run as fast as you can to remain in one place. Can you beat that! |

MosD:Agreed! At times, the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but there is grace of God's factor. I study the story Abraham, and I discovered that as human he also exhibit some weaknesses, yet he was referred to as the friend of God and the father of faith. Whao! Didn't get to know that someone had said that earlier. |

God don't need you to be who he is you need God to be who you want. If you don't kill greed, wealth will kill you. And the only way to kill greed is through giving. |

Rudyard Kipling's poem - IF If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!” If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son 1 Like |
