OKIJA: OBIANO HARPS ON 'THINK-HOME', COMMENDS OBIJAKSON

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano says embracing 'think-home' philosophy is the only way Ndigbo can guarantee the continued growth of the economy of the SouthEast region.

The Governor stated this at Okija, Ihiala Council area, when he inaugurated the Obijackson Round-about and market- fencing project undertaken by an indigene of the Community, Chief Ernest Obiejesi.

The governor who noted that due to its dwindling fortunes, it is becoming increasingly difficult for government to meet all the needs of the people, said with the support of rich private individuals, there will be no limitation in addressing the challenges of the society.

He expressed happiness that the state was already taking the lead in heeding the call by government to bring their wealth home and commended Chief Obiejesi for his efforts at partnering the state government in the development of his community.

The Governor assured that his administration would continue to create the enabling environment that will encourage wealthy Ndi Anambra to think home especially through the State's Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, ANSIPPA.

Earlier in his remarks, the donor of the Project, Chief Obiejesi said he was motivated to undertake the projects to salvage the situation where market women had to trade along the road and which often resulted in casualties.

He lauded the programmes of the Gov Obiano administration at impacting the lives of the very lowly people in the State and said he would continue to support the Obiano administration in view of laudable vision for the state development.

The Governor later attended the opening ceremony of the Face of Okija 2016 event where he praised the unity and brotherliness among Okija people, calling on other communities to emulate them.
