Latin is a dead language. Apart from Catholic priests that learn it for religious purposes.Nobody uses it.

As for spanish I am looking for where to learn it in Nigeria as I dont have enough money to process my Spanish travel.

I am a hyper-polyglot speaker of 11 languages and if you have ever traveled out of Nigeria, you will know that the world does not revolve around only English. All of the 6 languages of the United Nations namely; English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian are very important. However, choosing the one to learn after English should be informed by your perspective of the world and what you aim to do with it as not everyone has the persistence and mental drilling capacity that multiple language learning requires.

I did not rank these languages sire. Its my opinion. Apart from Swahili, every continent speaks at least two of these languages listed above. We speak three in Africa starting with the dominant ( French, English and Portuguese), North America Speaks two ( English and Spanish) South America Speaks two Portuguese and Spanish Asia Speaks four Europe Speaks French English Italian and German. Middle East Speaks Arabic, English and French, Asia Speaks Japanese,English, Portuguese and French and Australasia speaks English and FRench.

They are referred to as the worlds' Language of colonisation. As for Chinese, They were colonised by the Japanese up till the end of the 2nd world war in 1945. The Chinese Government decided to use it as a a business language through its economic relationship with other world powers in early 2000's.

Thats the reason for my non ranking it as a universal language because beyond China you cant hear it used anywhere.
