The members of Npower volunteer group Lagos chapter has decided to take to the street of Lagos on 9th of January 2017 to carry out a peaceful protest against the Lagos state government over the oblivious state the government has kept them.

This become necessary as the Governor of the state Akiwumi Ambode refuse to sign the memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will authorise the verification process to kick off. The focal person in charge of the state was contacted and she confirmed that the verification cannot be carried out without the approval of the state government.

Members of the volunteer said they want to use this medium to appeal to the Lagos State Government under the direct leadership of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode to kindly approve the commencement of the verification exercise so as not to deny the timid unemployed Lagos graduates this one-time opportunity.

Lagos state is frustrating the N-power program & its npower candidates by refusing to start verification & dislodging candidates from all the NOA offices throughout the LGAs here in Lagos state !!!

It is on this note I bring to you (The Media) to help call on the Authority involved to look into this sabotageous attitude of Lagos state/National Orientation Agency on refusal to commence a National Development Program/ Unemployment reduction assignment initiated by Nigerian stakeholders, Federal Govt of Nigeria and its MDAs since some months ago while suffering Nigerian graduates wasting their transport fares around all in the name of going for verification in the various NOA offices in Lagos state !!!

We hereby call on the Federal Govt of Nigeria to hasten an order and restore sanity in the State/National Orientation Agency (NOA) offices in Lagos by ordering the staffs & Focal persons concerned to commence verification of N-Power on all the successful candidates throughout the NOA offices in Lagos state immediately !!! Thank you
