You can still use very to some of the words at the right, You can't just take out the word very. E.g Very Excruciating, Very compelling, Very sorrowful. 1 Like |

Gmajor: the caption is misleading. what you outlined are simply the synonyms of the words that follow "very" in the first column and not synonyms of "very" per se. very is used to stress the degree of certain things. For all i care,I can still include "very" behind all the words in the second column for emphasis and still not sound odd, E.G , very excruciating, very beautiful, very flawless etc. |

Its all depends on the context it is being used. For example very serious --- grave. And grave only has one meaning. |
