Sahara reporters seems to be getting sick in this new year 2017. Former first ladies spending £32000, Sahara reporters never reported it as fleecing the embassy; the current first lady, in her wisdom trimmed it down to about £5000 and all hell were let loose. Is it that in this country we don't appreciate good and godly gestures? Sahara reporters seems to be under some kind of satanically strange influences.

She should Have given us proof of the 32000 pounds as claimed. Else, she is just throwing out figures.

Besides, anyone looking for your direct contact, to check if you looted monies is just a fool. Why will Aisha Buhari want to have a direct contact, just to divert funds.

That wouldn't be smart. And she's a "smart" woman.

this woman started by denying and when more evidence was provided, she resorted to passing the blame to other first ladies, someone should tell her that patience Jonathan never engaged in the disgusting display of wealth that is the norm for the buhari's.the handbag she was carrying at the lounge was a $2,500 handbag, that more than a million naira.

Mama peace never claimed to be modest, infact I once saw a picture of her with two eye glasses, funny PEJ , but you and your husband on the other hand used the "we are modest people" slogan to deceive Nigerians into power so you can be using millions to change kitchen utensils and hand bags, which qualifies you as a green snake under the green grass, you are no different from the 419 on the streets on Nigeria and even Yahoo boys too,y'all fall into the same category, cos it's all deceit with intent for personal gain

Liar Laishalliburton, didn't she say the embassy has never met her at airport and she never complained? Now Sahara brought evidence to show embassy met her and spent money on her she is talking of landing fees. Liar-Aisha is a stupid liar, former first ladies may have flown in Presidential Air Force jets, the same ones that President Buhari uses up and down on his ajala traveller useless missions. Now Nigerians know how much money Buhari is wasting.

Gistpeeps:
Mr. Aisha Buhari, said on 8th January, 2017 that £32,000 was spent in the past by the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom as landing fees for private jets of Ex-First Ladies.

She said the money spent on the lounge when she visited the United Kingdom was a far cry from what was obtainable during the past administrations.

She said this in a statement by her Special Assistant on Media, Adebisi Olumide-Ajayi.

Mrs. Buhari was reacting to another report by an online news portal, Sahara Reporters, accusing her of fleecing the Nigerian High Commission and abuse of privilege whenever she travels to the United Kingdom.

She said the continuous publication of what she called unfounded stories by the news portal against her was becoming a source of great concern.

She said the “purported internal memo within the Consulate” quoted in the news report had no direct link to her.

The President’s wife said the new allegation had still not substantiated where she made any direct contact with the mission for anything.

The statement read, “The High Commission has its internal administrative procedure, and it is not within the purview of the wife of the President to ask for diplomatic files.

“Furthermore, that the said memo showed little or no knowledge of Her Excellency’s itinerary proves the simple fact we earlier submitted that she had no direct business with the embassy to warrant the accusation of waste or corruption insinuated in the report.

“Part of the wife of the President’s trips abroad are for her NGO, which is not funded by the government, and it is not uncommon to have stopover in Britain like any other country as the case may be.

“According to her, VIP treatment is simple protocol for a personality of her status, which is done all over the world, and at no point was she offered anywhere else.

“The High Commission provided the lounge and Hajiya Buhari was not involved in the transaction.

“This is even a far cry from the £32,000 expended in the past as landing fees for private jets of former first ladies.”

Mrs. Buhari also said attending an international women function with the governors’ wives could not have been linked to the “bogus allegation” of corruption made by Sahara Reporters’ “spurious headline” earlier on as these are approved trips.

She said it would be to the credit of the news portal to carry out a thorough check if the so-called monies (£3,500) spent for whatever reason by the High Commission had any direct link with her.

What is she even saying? undecided It nauseates when I hear people giving excuses or finding justifications for evil. Past first ladies wasted public funds, so you too must do same?

Aisha's lies get bigger and dirtier every day. How can she say her ngo is not funded by government when it's office is in state house, she takes donations of government money from government officials and she makes governor's wives work for her representing her up and down? If her ngo is not funded by government she should show Nigerians the receipts of the money she pays NTA for the non-stop adverts they show on tv for her ngo. Aisha the dirty liar.

I am not understanding... I thought PMB in particular said there's nothing like the office of the first Lady anywhere in d constitution, why's there a continuous unconstitutional use of funds by the WIFE OF THE PRESIDENT?

Which bag is $2500? That bag in the diplomatic lounge pics is not less than $12500 dollars, it is exotic animal skin not leather. Can any kaduna massage parlor owner afford bags of 12500 dollars and 60,000 dollars without stealing government money or trading bribes and graft? Or were the big men she was massaging in her massage parlor giving her tips for undisclosed services? The wind of counter-accusations don open fowl yansh. Aisha is corrupt and an unrepentant liar.
