OLAADEGBU: orisa37: To understand why we say Amen after prayers, you have to dig deeper than what you were told. Amen is/was an Egyptian God. Do a little search on it. Here is an Egyptian temple drawing of Amen, do you see any resemblance with our Bishops?

menxer: If that is so, why did the OT prophets and the NT apostles use the word 'Amen' in the Bible? |

OLAADEGBU: Good question. Take it one step back, where did the old testament came from? Trace from Abraham or Jacob or Moses, if you like, you can't escape the Egyptian/Sumerian religious beliefs of the day. Abraham was from Ur, capital of Sumer. What was the religious belief of the sumerians? Jacob/his descendants lived for centuries in Egypt, are we saying they didn't inculcate the religious beliefs of the Egyptian? Pharoah Aten started the worship of one God in Egypt, but was discontinued after his death. But you were told Moses started it. Moses, raised and brought up in Egypt, as a Prince, later on lived with the Midianite Prophet, what was the religious belief of the Midianites? Ponder on these things. |

Amen is English from Latin from Greek and from Hebrew. The Israeli, after their deportation from Egypt, shibboleth the Egyptian god's name Amon to the Promise land and by the Inspiration of The Holy Spirit, gave it a universal apps. |

OLAADEGBU: Yes, I do. It's allegiance and obeisance to the unseen God, The 4th angle in the triangle... Amen-Ra PS: The triangle in this case: The past (my ancestors) = The present (menxer) = The future (posterity) |

OLAADEGBU: Why bother yourself with a thread that you created to ask a question you answered yourself? So 40000 men were slaughtered, not in battle but trying to cross a bridge, right? That's genocide. |
