The MMM debacle is an issue everyone would agree has created an apparent divide in the minds of Nigerians. On one end we have Nigerians who, in exercise of their freewill, choose to take the risk of investing their money with the hope of getting returns, and on the other end those who choose to abstain entirely from such risky ventures, fearing an event of total collapse. The choice of one side does not negatively affect the other, both sides stand alone in their choices and whatever risk or liability that arises upon those who choose to indulge in the MMM scheme is borne SOLELY by them.

So why then does it seem that those who have chosen to abstain feel embittered about the choices the others have made? Why does it appear that you are simply standing on the side lines, arms crossed, waiting and hoping for calamity to befall on these persons? Is it so you can feel justified that you made the right choice, you were more wiser, and therefore better than the others, the better human being? Why make snarling, negative and pessimistic comments that wish doom on them when you will not be affected in anyway if things go awry?

This just proves to the full glare of all the BAD BELLE mentality embedded within the DNA of we Nigerians, that in order to satisfy our low self esteem, and feel better about ourselves, we hope things go bad for others. It's quite shameful that even on a well respected platform such as Nairaland, this attitude is being expressed with "anti-mmm" posts apparently made with no other intention but to Incite fear. If you are against the MMM scheme, then be against it in your own realm, if you are in favour of it then do so in your own realm. STOP JUDGING AND STOP WISHING HARM ON OTHERS JUST SO YOU CAN SAY I TOLD YOU SO.
