I am all for democrazy and all those romantic attributes that are supposed to come with it but are seldom felt... Yet sometimes, it is nice to thread carefully..., especially on cases like this... Whenever you see the American ambassador together with a british or french ambassador, jumping out of their treacherous skins to vigorously support a particular African politician, you better take a second look at that candidature. Jammeh is a vibrant ijiot! No questions.. He was the guy that ran away from Gadaffi at the very end and started talking trash. His administrative style is so prehistorian, you cant help but pity the massive quantity of humanity suffering under his leadership. He started off leading an army mutiny against President Dauda who had many Nigerian army officers in his Gambian army. Gwadebe and co.., The Nigerian officers disappeared and the president ran and since then, Jammeh has held tight to power. It is time to go and go he should.

But then the big question is; who is pushing so hard for this Borrow guy..., so gingerly? Jonathan was used to deal with Gbagbo and Gadaffi and now Buhari is getting set to deal with Jammeh. Nigeria using her geo-political clout/army to serve the interests of the big powers. We wasted thousands of lives in Liberia and Sierra lone but today it is the british and their multi nationals that are enjoying both the praises and the economic benefits. What would be Nigerias benefits from this intervention, if it eventually happens? It is international politics and so benefits must be attached... It is also very IMPORTANT to know that recently, Jammehs off and on Pan Africanist rants seem to be solidly taking some serious concrete form to put Gambia on a different lane that should irritate the west....

He ordered for the process to remove Gambia from the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court to be started just recently..And he meant it. He has been getting away with electoral manipulations for over 20 years. Why is the west and everybody else all of a sudden ready to deal with him after that move? Cross the 'T's..

You are absolutely right. On what capacity did he attend such a summit? He seems desperate to me and desperados will surely end up like their grandmaster Buhari, confused.

Please explain how a Jonathan was used to deal with them both.

He was there to discuss about the Gambia crisis and not to attend the summit on behalf of The Gambia.

Please explain how a Jonathan was used to deal with them both.

With Gbagbo , he led the West African leaders coalition that sided with Sarkozy and allowed the french to bomb Abidjan repeatedly including the presidential palace until Gbagbo was removed. This was unprecedented since the decolonilisation process in west Africa.., i mean Nigeria encouraging a former colonial power to bomb the presidential palace of a west African state. The fact is that Gbagbo didnt really loose that election, the western media ala CNN made you think he did. The northern part of the country was totally in the hands of the militants and most of the votes credited to Quattarra came from there. How can you claim victory in a free and fair election when most of your much vaunted votes came mostly from the unruly and militant controlled part of the country with all the rigging that went unchallenged? There is a reason most southern Ivorians stood/stand with Gbagbo till the very end, even up-till this day.

With Gaddafi, Jonathan instructed the then Nigerias permanent representative at the United Nation not vote against the United Nations resolution authorizing NATO to provide air support to the ISIS militants that ultimately captured Gaddaffi, killed him in the worst way possible while destroying Libya in the process. Nigeria was a non permanent member of the security council at this moment and with Russia and China absenting, the vote to authorize NATO to ruin Libya was close. Nigeria voting against that invasion would have sent a powerful message around the world on that score based on Nigerias standing in the continent. Rather than absenting., Jonathan voted for war and joined the gang calling for Gaddafis head after one Cameron visited him in Lagos(Prime minister Cameron even refused to visit Jonathan in Abuja).

The rest is history; Libya destroyed. ISIS domesticated in Libya, and Libyan oil and arms helping Boko Haram to destroy Jonathans government. Karma?

Jammeh doesn't give a shit about meetings ,barrow Can attend all the meetings he likes as long as he doesn't rule Gambia and jammeh knows that most of these African leaders are toothless bulldogs, very soon most of these African leaders will reduce their meetings and association with barrow. Abiola had more friends than this but when the chips are laid down ,it is every man for himself
