Who Is Receiving The N5,000 Monthly Stipend??? by Cjrane2: 10:05pm On Jan 15, 2017
A lot of people have aired their views that the purported N5,000 naira montly stipend for unemployed Nigerians was a fluke used as an excuse to stuff the pockets of party thugs in preparation for elections.

Calls for the FG to publish the names of recipients have fallen on deaf ears.

I find it hard to believe that President Buhari will simply authorize the release of huge sums of money from the CBN just to stuff pockets of his party members. Apparently, as impossible as this may sound, that is precisely what is indeed happening as we speak.

Please those who have received this money should speak up and tell us how they were identified as unemployed, so that we know how our national resource is being shared.

The concern now is that a privileged few are using this excuse to enrich themselves while nobody can really point to the "unemployed" Nigerians benefiting from this.

This plank expects the poorest/most vulnerable Nigerians to be on Nairaland.

When will Govt declare an emergency on illiteracy? That should help people like the OP.

The last time I checked Buhari said the 5k is for the most vulnerable Nigerians. Probably we don't have them here on nairaland.

Truly, the poorest/most vulnerable Nigerians can't be on Nairaland, so also they don't have bank accounts. So how is it that the beneficiaries are being paid through the banks? How many poor/most vulnerable persons have bank accounts?
