Fayose Is Right! Federal Govt Lied about the N5,000 Stipend. by OLADD: 8:41am On Jan 05, 2017
When the Governor of Ekiti State Ayo Fayose told the nation penultimate week that his state indigenes were yet to receive a dime from the Federal Govt N5,000 monthly stipend he was dressed down by many Nigerians including the govt at the centre. However, while appearing on Channels TV Sunrise Breakfast programme today, Laolu Akande, Senior Special Adviser to the Vice President on Media and Publicity owned up to the fact that amongst the nine states chosen to pilot the Social Security Scheme, only three states namely Borno, Bauchi and Kwara had received cash backing from the Federal Govt and commenced its implementation. The question now is; why did the APC led govt lie that Ekiti was one of the pilot states? Was it meant to score some cheap political points and counter Fayose's homegrown Stomach Infrastructure and N10,000 monthly stipend Programmes thereby preparing the ground to "capture" Ekiti in 2018? Why can't the Buhari led govt be truthful word-for-word in its press releases and public information? Why do they always leave room for the opposition to pick hole in their actions and inactions due to half truths?

Yes, the Fed Govt lied that Ekiti was one of the nine pilot states that started the programme. That's a hoax if you don't know.

NA wa for you oh bros......all I know is that theysaid 9states are in the first phase f the scheme and 3states bauchi borno and kwara were paid on the 31st of December....

I think fayose talks too much and sometimes makes a fool of himself....
he comes on TV and says something, then he rushes to the FG and is one of the first states to apply for the 3 bail outs given by the FG but still critisies FG for not helping him pay salaries...

he made a fool of himself with the Aisha Buhari story
he made a fool of himself during the campaign taling about his mother and the death wish on buhari....

its good to be in th opposition but its foolish to continue fooling himself

Fayose as a Nigerian is entitled to his opinion and that's what you and his detractors have to abide with. If Ekiti was not ready for the scheme's takeoff why was it mentioned as one of the pilot states in the first instance? Was that not a crafted mischief? So, if Fayose comes out to dispute the veracity of Fed govt's claims, must we crucify him? If you're comfortable with hoaxes from this govt, I am not.

Firstly, he is inconsistent paying 5k to 10,000 people and not 10k.
Second, it was fayemi, the ex govnr, that paid 10k to people and not fayose.
Lastly, for him to be screaming that his people haven't gotten paid, when the govt didn't say he has, means he is crying for the same 5k he so much ridiculed

You're here talking about consistency, who gave you the impression that the Fed Govt would be fervent in paying this hoax called N5000 stipend? Haven't you heard that El Rufai has put the school feeding programme on hold in Kaduna due to inability of Fed govt to fulfil its own part of the bargain? Are you aware that Aregbesola's school feeding initiative has also hit the rock in Osun? Are these not APC scam initiatives? Don't call Fayose names for calling people's attention to APC lies, ok?

Sometimes one wonders why some people must reason like children in order to drive their political point.

@OLADD, What exactly is the lie in what the govt said?... Or is there now a new definotion of the word 'lie' which is known by only jonathanians?... Did the govt say anywhere that they had paid people in Ekiti state?... Last time I checked, the only thing announced is that the programme would start in 9 pilot states, of which only 3 states have received money at present. Once again, what exactly is confusing about that?...

Stop been crafty my friend and don't bring Jonathan into this. The Fed govt told us that the N5000 stipend had started in 9 pilot States of which Ekiti was among. Why did they have to specify on 9 states when only fewer states were practically ready in terms of finance. Don't you get it? Mentioning Ekiti as a pilot state when the reverse is the case was nothing but false claim and that was what elicited Fayose's disclaimer. No other words can be used to describe it other than LIE.

Stop nagging like a neglected wife bro... The govt said it will start the programme from 9 pilot states, I dont remember seeing anywhere where it was said that the money has been paid to these 9 states; as a matter of fact, I even had no clue any of the states had received anything at all until this morning. Why don't you wait for your turn instead of rushing online to shout 'LIE'?

If you have any argument to the contrary, kindly post us a link where the govt said it has PAID people in Ekiti?

thanks for the enlightenment. We are used to scams, courtesy of PDP.

Everything would hit the rocks, eventually, since money no dey. We also help us thank our frog-eyed ex finance minister and the overly corrupt bower hatter, called Jonathan, who met $60billion in reserve and left us with $35billion and still claimed they saved $35billion for the APC.

When reduction of a savings became saving is beyond me.

na over education dey worry u. The feds didn't say that they paid Ekiti, they simply said Ekiti govt piloted the scheme. It means they started it, they spearheaded it. Ekiti govt was the first to start paying 5k to the less privileged. Even though it was something that was part of the APC manifesto and Ekiti stole it. We still say, they piloted the scheme

Hey! Did you just say nagging? When did setting a record straight amount to nagging? Go through the statement released from office of the VP where it was expressly stated that the N5000 stipend had started in 9 states. Are you trying to take us though English lesson on the obvious? If the FG wasn't ready to finance the project in Ekiti why did they list it among the pilot states? Are you not even ashamed that only 3 out of 36 states are ready ,yet the Fed govt went to town shouting to the rooftop? Pls stop defending the indefensible.

You're just too clever for yourself. That statement was specifically referring to the so-called N5000 stipend in APC 2015 manifesto and not Fayemi's rested policy. No state can be regarded as a pilot state when fund had not been allocated to it, can't you understand? As it's now only 3 states-Borno, Bauchi and Kwara are the genuine pilot states. Ok?

Mr Man, wait for your turn, it will eventually get to your people. There's no lie about saying a programme will be implemented in 9 pilot states, and then payments have already been received in 3 of the states. Except you have a new definition of the word 'lie.' Thanks!

Reserves are meant to argument the shortfall in any country's foreign earnings and infrastructure deficit if need be. During GEJ era, the reserve was mostly used to finance our fuel import deficit and growing infrastructural demand. Why hasn't Buhari's govt grown the reserve in its 18 months in power? Do you know that our reserve has been plummeting since APC came on board? Stop commenting on fields you know absolute nothing about. Besides, don't derail this thread.

All your rants are nothing but arrant nonsense.
