Governor Ajimobi: Please Reopen LAUTECH Now! by mdfash(m): 4:32pm On Jan 22, 2017
I watched the video of Governor Ajimobi addressing protesting students regarding indefinite closure of their University. It was shocking to learn that LAUTECH has been closed quietly closed for eight months without anyone talking about it. This is simply outrageous

The Governor's excuse of lack of funds is lame. This government owes a duty to the present enrolled students at LAUTECH to allow them to continue their studies and graduate as soon as possible. After then, the Government may take a decision to sell or privatize the University. Keeping the University locked up indefinitely while there are enrolled students is not an option.

The founding Fathers of education in Nigeria, notably Baba Awolowo, whose free education Ajimobi himself enjoyed, and Ladoke Akintola, after whom the University was named, would be turning in their graves. Public spirited attorneys should consider suing the government to enjoin this illegality.

Enough is enough!
