People have taken to the streets to protest the epileptic power supply in Sapele area of Delta state, the residents engaged in a massive protest against the Benin Electricity company (BEDC) over power outage.According to the protesters, "We have been in darkness for months and they still bring us bills and ask us to pay"

Some residents were pictured carrying generator sets on their heads during the demonstration.
