Reading is an integral part of every student, without reading virtually you will not attain that height you desire for. For you to achieve great scores, emerge successful in your academic studies you need to develop the habit of reading, but you can’t seem to concentrate on reading the book you’ve picked up from the library.

You get a few pages in and then get distracted, and turn to the computer or your television. You end up dozing up after a few couple of minutes, and you never seem to get around to actually reading it. Reading is a habit you can develop and there are many ways you can turn it into your habit.


Below are highlighted strategies you need to apply in your daily routine.


Make time for it
Until you schedule reading time in your busy day, you may not be able to squeeze it anywhere between all of the other commitments and tasks crowding the calendar. Make our time for yourself at least 15 minutes of your free time out of your 24 hours can do great exploit. Never allow your reading time to collide with your other activities. With these you are making out importance of your reading, rather than ignoring it or feeling bored during reading.

Seat proper

Proper seating is the fundamental of any good reading habit. When you seat without relaxing your back on a chair with a table before you, definitely you may not be able to accumulate what you are reading. When picking out a sitting position, ensure you are sitting strait and your back is relaxed. Don’t hold your book while reading, you may easily get tired and soon doze off. Drop it on the table and read through. With these practical steps you will find reading fun and interesting.

Time table is one thing to consider, as soon as you begin to read you may be junk up at a point, so making a reading list with some interesting books will be of great idea. If you are tired of your previous authors, make a research for others and develop the habit of expanding your reading not focusing on the same type of book every day.
Underline unfamiliar words and check Dictionary for their meanings

Sometimes your come across unfamiliar words when reading, it is a known fact that when you don’t understand the meaning of words in a book, the book will look uninteresting to you and eventually abscond without realizing the importance of it. Try underlining unfamiliar words and make a dictionary research about those words, you will not only find the book interesting but will be able to be familiar with many words that will help you in your orals.

Take a Pause

Many a time we read books with the impression that we must complete it. This should not be taken into consideration. Take a pause while reading, walk around your environment and take fresh air, make a reading to be a fun and a hobby. Don’t get tensed up, free yourself and you will find reading as an adventurous prerequisite to a sustainable excellence.

Eat Vegetables

Eating vegetables provides health benefits – people who eat more vegetables and fruits as part of an overall healthy diet are likely to have a reduced risk of some brain tumor. Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your brain. Avoid unhealthy and chunk food. Take light food before going to your library, avoid food that will make you doze off while reading. It is important you take along with you a bottle of water.
