Who is the BEST PRESIDENT that should be elected come 2011 (repeat 2011 and not if Yar’Adua’s office is vacant) and why?

Just the name and your reason.

You never can tell, you may convince enough to actualize a good Nigeria. No sentiments, please!

Times have changed sure, but I believe Buhari is better than a lot of what we have there, and note this in not military govt.

Depending on where he is coming from, my choices could be:

North West: Muhammadu Buhari (So that Nigerians can start following laid down rules just like white men do, thats our main difference)

South East: Ken Nnamani (My best senate president so far, he is a sensible man)

South South: Goodluck Jonathan (He is a good man, has always been loyal to his leaders and he is a lucky man. So maybe Nigeria will become lucky)

North Central: Olushola Saraki (He has good experience)

South West: Fashola (because of his record as lagos governor if all the hype i have been hearing is true)

North East: Atiku Abubakar (cant think of anyone better, besides Atiku might have repented based on all that has happened to him)

If that guy is serious about getting votes then he needs to start gaining exposure and campaigning ASAP. I doubt he is very well known in rural Nigeria or certain segments of the country.

Its quite amusing how people always seem to strive to return to tried leaders. Buhari, Atiku, Johnathan, IBB, Kalu. I don't understand how people will plant pear and expect orange.

Chris Ngige.

I know he is better has a President than a governor. The guy is short and simple. I know with him at the affairs "Bad road and no motorable road will be a thing of the past"

I will nominate Ahmed Shekarau of kano state and fashola of Lagos state.
They are both young progressives,well-educated and have shown with their antecedents that they can handle the complex entity called NIGERIA

Donald Duke - the man has solid achievements on ground not propaganda.

If he can do that with Cross River State on meagre resources, then he will transform Nigeria for the better.

what's the point in asking for Ideal president when the greater forces will not let your votes count?
why not start a thread on which prospective candidates ought to have his campaign derailed before it starts

Kai, my brain is blank. What a country? This indeed are not the best of times if as a citizen I can not close my eyes and nominate a presidential candidate suitable for leadership in Nigeria. Hmmm. Nigeria is in danger. Please, I have to think seriously about this. sad sad

lol, dude iam not sure what you are trying to say but you are clearly out of sync with reality if you can actually suggest a confirmed criminal and looter like ibori would make an ideal president in this country. lol, men we surely got all sorts in this country.

cant help but rolleyes, i didnt sense a trace of sarcasm in his comment so I am going to assume he is serious. the type of stuff that happens to Nigerians can only happen to Nigerians.
Re: 2011: Who Is Your Ideal President For Nigeria? by Ndeewonu: 9:27pm On Dec 03, 2009
If Ngige? - He did well in Anambra but may not have enough experience to pull Nigeria thru; better 2 do another state gov role

If Fashola? - Probably the BEST GOV the New Nigeria has produced. He should finish 2nd tenor in Lag 2011 to perfect wht he started.

If Utomi? - Needs to understnd politics. Not grassrooted & withiout structure

If Atiku? - People no longer trust him

If Buhari? Has the clout; but pple r afraid he's a fanatic

KEN NNAMANI will b a better president 4 Nigeria. He held the mafia 'hostage' with bare hands and came out victorious, quashing the evil 3rd term & portrays high level of integrity. Many ppl believe in him.

I cant think of any other for now.
