Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has joined the George Floyd protest as he revealed a message calling for “justice” for the death of the black American, after scoring on Sunday.

Mr. Floyd was an unprotected black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes as he told them “I can’t breathe”.

Floyd’s death has stirred mass protests across the US, with governors in several states calling in National Guard troops in an attempt to maintain order.

Jadon Sancho scored the second goal for Dortmund in 57 minutes into their Bundesliga match against Paderborn, before removing his shirt to reveal a message reading “justice for George Floyd”.

Sancho also continues the protest on his Instagram page. He wrote;
