Considering Nigeria's current situation, failure of our democratically elected politicians, celebration of corrupt politicians by their followers, their selfishness, greed, high rate of corruption embedding our government offices today, would you say "democracy has done us more harm than good"?

Democracy didn't do you any harm per se.. Obasanjo, Danjuma, Babangida and Buhari did you harm. If we started off in 1999 with real civilians, trust me, we would have been far off in terms of political and economic development. The problem was with Obasanjo who was forced on the country by a platoon of retired army officers like him. He came in with his brutish, "we fought and nearly died for this country" mentality and that made him so arrogant to observe any democratic tenet. He couldn't stand the senate, didn't want to obey court orders and ended up destroying the new democracy. . Buhari is doing exactly the same thing today! That clique has always been Nigerias albatross since 1965. They started in their 20s and are still inflicting pains today.. Yaradua and Jonathan only tried to salvage what was an already messed up situation and they failed woefully. That was because in so many ways they were recruited by the same group of evil army officers. . Essentially, a real democratic experiment hasn't been witnessed here. We still have the Buharis, Danjumas, Babangidas and Obasanjops and Mark all over our back. Until you get rid of this bunch of viciously violent and corrupt ex leaders..., untill you are able to shove them away from the democratic space, together with their sniffling and infuriating sense of entitlement, governance in Nigeria whether civilian or military will always suffer.

Democracy is a failed experiment. It's time we invented an African system.
