That’s an act of trickery used back in the day. Religious leaders ordered common folk to burn incenses and psychoactive substances in fires under the building of worship and send them through pipes into the congregation. Their elevated state was then described as the influence of their deity. Weed smokers do the same inside closed cars and near airtight rooms. Religion is only another form of mass convening for a specific reason. It is no different from criminal gangs, the military or prison. |
