Fellow nairalanders, I am seriously confused. Please I need ur advice. My love story goes thus:
I was in a relationship for 6 years. It didn't work out then, not because I was not faithful but because I was too naive, young and less experienced in keeping a relationship. It was an heartbroken experience I dealt with for 1 year.
During this period, I met a guy that I gave my love to because I was desperate. He is loving, caring and God fearing and we dated for 1 year.
Now I found out that I don't love him like I used because he is not my type of man physically. I am actually far taller than him. I don't feel comfortable walking around with him because of his height. But he possesses the qualities of a good husband.
I want to love him the way he is but how do I do that? Please advice. Sometimes I think he is not the one for mr because of his height.

@op...you know first love is hard to replicate. mostly because at that time the heart is all innocent and open to love fully...makes you fall and fall hard. but if it goes bad the heart becomes a little jaded towards love....you will love again but not as innocently or hard as the first...so stop comparing feelings. ..
there's something called a rebound relationship. ..here you use the guy just to get over the heartache from previous relationship ...if that's the case oya free the guy

Does he have qualities u really admire in him? does his positive traits outweigh the negative? if yes, love him for those good qualities he has, no man is perfect. there are many marriages in which the wife is taller but they live happy together. Good luck

The heart is a funny phenomenal, you can't just successfully lead it like you could other organs. He was just your rebound, Biko don't over stretch things. But how do I develop confidence walking with him. With my heels, he looks likes my son or younger brother

Let him go. Don't suffer yourself or him by being in a relationship with him. clearly you're ashamed of him.

The fact that it had to take you 12 months to realise this is baffling.
