What other method could be used to dupe Nigerian students than to tell them to pay to receive a scholarship.

The supposed world bank Pan-Africa 2017 scholarship for Nigerian undergraduates has been discovered to be a scam. WHY?
1. No organization giving out a scholarship award would require payment from the beneficiary before giving the reward prize.
2. According to the email sent, there is nothing unique to each applicant about the letter, which means it could have been sent to thousands of students.
3. There was no screening exercise, who just gives out free money?
4. There was no official website, just an email which looks fishy. wbscholarships@outlook.com
5. A Nigerian phone number was given as references code in the mail. 2348174273758.

Pls if you applied for this scholarship and you've received a similar mail. Let other confirm before paying for the 'mastercard'..
