Shema Rearrested, Booed And Called A Thief By The Crowd At The Court

Former Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema has been re-arrested after the adjournment of a ruling on his motion challenging the jurisdiction of the State High Court regarding charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged money laundering against him.

Immediately after the court sitting, Shema came out of the courtroom with his team of lawyers but a crowd soon formed around him in the court premises booing him and calling him a "thief" in Hausa language.

An attempt to rush back into the courtroom became impossible as EFCC operatives told the government he will be rearrested.

A police team was reinforced to the premises of the court. He later zoomed off his car with the EFCC operatives.
