Happy New Year to everyone, what better way to start the year than the news that we've signed Welligton Silva from Brazil.  

Arsenal have finally wrapped up the protracted signing of Brazil Under 17 international striker Wellington Silva. The prospect will complete the move from Fluminense when he turns 18, in January 2011.

The Gunners have taken advantage of a financial problem with Flu and after thrashing out a deal last month, everything has been signed and sealed. Arsenal have paid for 65% ownership of Wellington, and will pay the other 35% when he is eligible to move to England. Fluminense have been struggling to pay players and staff so an immediate payment has been made to ease their cash-flow problems.

Agent Rodrigo Pitta conducted business on behalf of the Brazilian Serie ‘A’ club, and confirmed to local newspapers yesterday that everything has gone through.

DUDU has really stepped-up to the pressure of delivering the goodies as he took control of the front-line (though on some occasions his touches let him down). Ramsey did a pretty good job in the middle of the pack.

Generally alla-dem did a gr8 job, juz didn't like the manner in which we conceded that goal .

Well the transfer windows here AGAIN! Seen on some gunner blogs that we've snapped up another ronaldinho ! But it'd be nice to see a tall, lethal two-footed striker who can deliver the goals when DUDU, Bendtner & co fumble!

Well we av signed Wellington, and he doesnt co.mne until till 2011, something akin to what we did with Vela. With all d zeal and drive to win trophies this year, we are still very much in the youth football business u know. This signing has no bearing on decision whether or not to get that striker Wenger mentioned earlier.

Our game in hand puts enormous pressure on chelsea & manure to stutter.

The boys are of age & they ALL wanna win trophies, the ONLY thing that stands in their way are injuries. . which can't be helped i guess. We need reinforcements in the DC, DM & CF department. If Gallas or Verm suffer a long term injury (God i hope not), it'll be to our own demise!, the midfield we can handle, but in the striking department (with our strikers firing blanks), we need juz one *whats the word* (accomplished, skillful,quick-thinking. . damn!) striker that'll come in and mk d difference

I know wenger would NEVA break the bank whenever signings are being made, of which he's done a pretty good job so far, but it wouldn't hurt if he spent 20mill *max* on some of the following players :

Edin Dzeko (I keep seeing this dude as someone we juz might sign)
Craig Bellamy (I know me fellow gunnerz would disagree on this, but this guy would def be a goo buy)
Sergio Aguero (Though he's above d 20mil mark, if he could prize Arshavin away from Zenit, he could land this dude too, buh he's on the shoer side too )

Me list is long & so is Jan. . Lets give it time, Wenger knows best!
