The need for tax payment by the citizenries has attracted the attention and support of the Imo State Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo
The Law Maker made this known to media men while on a visit to Ehime Mbano local government Area Head quarters to see the level of development

Speaking to the workers at the Local Government premises, the Nwangele born Law-Maker held that the time has come for better collection of taxes and other revenue sources open to government.

Continuing,he maintained that hands must be involved towards expanding the Internally generated Revenue(IGR) of Imo State in a desire to sustain and further improve on the development of Imo State by the Rescue Administration.
“You can’t imagine that a state like Imo with the numerous projects aimed at enhancing the lives of citizens has a very minute contribution from taxes. It is only the state workers that pay any form of tax,” said Ozuruigbo..

The deputy Speaker maintained that sustenance of projects and programmes like the free education and various road project requires parents and other Imolites to support the State and local government through prompt payment of taxes.



Commending the Staff, the Legislator ask that they continue in their support to the Governor Rochas Okorocha led government by being faithful to their duties.
