A member of Osun House of Assembly, Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has called on Nigerians to “cut their appetite” for foreign goods to fast-track the growth of the nation’s economy.
Oyintiloye, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Strategy, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Osogbo.
He said Nigeria as a nation must also cut its dependence on foreign goods, increase local production and enhance entrepreneurship.

Cut our appetite how. Do you know what Nigeria imports. Get the electricity and refining capacity up so Nigeria can industrialize. These people act like people are importing luxury goods in mass or something.

First of all, if you guys in aso rock are serious and mean well for Nigeria, PLEASE CUT YOUR SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES.
You are the ones going to overseas to shop and hide the money
No hungry Nigerian has money for foreign goods; we eat garri, local rice and yam, wear Aba made shoes and clothes when you're wearing the gucci and Versace.
Leave us alone please. You criminals are the problem of this country.
One day, only one day, the God of the poor Nigerians will fight for them. Loot the economy and blame it on us.

After all, it is only now that we are hearing for the first time that our problem is appetite for foreign goods.
People have been buying them even in the 70s 80s and 90s.
