The Lekki Gardens case is a very unfortunate one that Richard in dreams would not have thought of. May the soul of the departed rest in peace, Amen.
While a lot of people would condemn him, the guy tried in his own way in breaking the mould that houses in Lekki and it's environs would only be for the rich. Where he got it wrong was expanding too quickly without the commensurate structure (qualified and experienced engineers) in place.
A lot of people have learnt from his case, I know I have.
May the good Lord guide the souls of the dearly departed and may Richard come out of his travails a better man and entrepreneur.
Unfortunately, someone has to account for this and as the head of the organisation, the onus falls on him.

It's amazing how hasty people can get in dabbling into what is beyond them. Yes, the building collapse was an unfortunate one and may the souls of the departed rest in peace. Mr Richard Nyong is a young, conscientious entrepreneur who doesn't cut back on quality and the ethical demands of his vocations. It is wrong and misplaced to judge an outlier, an achiever, one who has built and sold over 6000 quality and strong building units in just 5 years because of the collapse of a building. I know this man and I still see him today. He is a good man. A lover of God and one whom God has used to change numerous lives for good. You cannot know Mr Richard or encounter him and your life will be the same.
Given his nonpareil achievement in his sector, I am not surprised about the coordinated media gang-ups, untoward stories, apocryphals and the envyings and jealousies around.
He needs our prayers and support this time especially, we, the new generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs as he is a good role model - a lesson in entrepreneurship.
The good Lord whom he loves, adores and serves devotedly and unapologetically will see him through.

The Lagos State Government has filed criminal charges against the MD of Lekki Gardens Estate Ltd, Richard Nyong and others over the collapse of a five-storey building under construction on Kushenla Road in Ikate Elegushi area of the State which killed no fewer than 35 persons.

Apart from Lekki Gardens Estate Ltd, GT Rich Ltd, HC Insight Solutions Ltd, others charged alongside Nyong are Taiwo Odofin, Omolabake Mortune, Maruis Agwu, Sola Olumofe and Omotilewa Joseph. They’re are facing six-count charge of failure to obtain building approval for the collapsed building and unlawful manslaughter.
