EFCC Prosecutor’s Absence Stalls Ex-minister Trial by nazzyon(m): 5:27pm On Feb 23, 2017 |
By Newsdesk The absence of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, on Thursday stalled trial by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mohammed Belgore, charged with money laundering. Belgore who is being prosecuted by the EFCC alongside a former Minister of National Planning, Prof Abubakar Suleiman are standing trial before Justice Mohammed Aikawa on a five-count charge bordering on money laundering to the tune of N450 million. Yesterday, a lawyer from EFCC, Nkereuwem Anana, had informed the court that the prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, was held up on his way to the court because of a fault in his vehicle. http://www.theguildng.com/?p=20651 |
