The mentality shown by the OP is slightly misguided - there's nothing wrong with being a nurse or a secretary, and those roles are not necessarily poorer than being an MD or a Doctor.

Empowerment is good, but let's not get carried away - aim for the best and be good at what you do, but don't look down on any job or role.

ok ok, I dont subscribe to women's liberty, cos nobody jailed them in the first place, but why do women always like to shout at the top of their voice and fighting to get out of "perceived oppression"? A woman can slap a guy, but if a man lifts a finger against her it is abuse!!!

Its good to get all these achievements and more as a woman. It does help the lady gain respect from everyone (male & female). I really abhor ladies who don't want to better themselves (academically or career wise) but want to depend on a man (husband/boyfriend) for everything. Women are allowed to have dreams/visions and work at actualising them but not at the expense of keeping a good home (for the married ladies).

However, we should realise that as women and wives we can never be the head of the home. So attaining lofty career heights should not make us proud, loud and controlling at home but should give us a sense of self worth and purpose.

In effect I am saying make our eyes open but not too much o! cool
Just my opinion o!

We al cnt be presidents or doctors or even d richest man in d world (theres only one spot.)
One thing we can al be is d best of who we are, its not abt being a gates or an obama, i wanna be ME-in a rilly rily rily unique way.

U shdnt discriminate occupations, cos dat way ua limiting urself.

Let's go girls. Go get good education, spend less time on the internet and on tv, read your books and aim for the top and your husband will not treat you like you worth nothing. It is very true that when a woman is on the same financial level or even a higher financial level than the husband and HER EYES ARE OPEN, then oga is less likely to treat her badly or go about looking for sex because he knows what madam is capable of doing because HER EYES ARE OPEN.
