Most of the state's in the country banned motorcycle for commercial use due to rate of accidents and crime rate

Secondly I don't see motorcycle as empowerment scheme for our youth

The motorcycle should be recycled for better use.

Sarrki, how can you be this heartless, so Npower scheme is an empowerment scheme for your youths... guy your sycophancy is first class, and congrat o... your Apc government is bringing down the exchange rate it took up

Good move.. You don't see this all over like flies in many African countries... just too much of it all over.. Snatching babies from their mothers back, phone Snatching, cause of this cheap Chinese industrial waste and environmental pollutant.

Auction to states that needs the bikes and watch how 80percent of the bikes find their way back to Lagos.
Who is fooling who?
Laws are meant for human beings and simple adherence is what is needed to be free from all these.

Waste not, want not

Unless they are been recycled for some other use, the bikes could be sold to another state that may need them. Na money be dat
Thank u. Why should they crush what they can't produce. Some people bought all these with their hard earned money. Its beta to auction them in other states

Though i don't support the idea of destroying the citizens means of livelihood but having witnessed a situation as a victim whereby motorbike was used to commit armed robbery and other atrocities. In enugu for instance, it was banned after it was reportedly used to assassinate a relative of the then Governor. Late last year in imsu, a keke was used to commit a hit by cultists. And it has been constituting a nuisance in imo state generally. Perhaps other governors should borrow a leaf from Ambode but the idea of arresting passengers for their patronage is unacceptable.

1) We call something inventory. When ever the motor cycle is seized they take record of it .

The seized motorcycle is seized under the Lagos transport law. It's legal in the face of the law

Don't just criticize for fun or been ignorant of what you are talking about

Finally ask kanu he's passing through hell in kuje prison for calling our great country zoo

NIGERIA GREAT?, OK OOO IF U SAY SO

It will be recycled

@bolded, you speak as if Nigera has such facilities, even there is am very sure its not well equiped.

Can't they use it to empower some youth by converting it into Keke napep, there is one like that that has a pick-up back but the front is half Bike(Okada) it is mostly use to distribute goods, hmm, can't they ?

At times,I just wonder what age some Nigerians live in.Which organized society adopts motorcycles as its means of transportation?
Okadas and yellow buses,in more ways than one, speak of our stagnation, backwardness and abject poverty of infrastructure...

Nigerian rulers are extremely wicked. I can't believe Ambode could stoop so low to give such a wicked directive. What right do you have to destroy people's source of income without creating alternative jobs for them? Hope you can now see why Nigeria is cursed and we will keep paying for it as we brought it upon ourselves.

Shame on APC and all those who voted APC in the previous elections

Load them up and sell at South Sudan. 4,000 Okada should be worth up to 320m, almost a million dollars and you guys want to crush it just like that ? Ship them out to where in the world these are needed or just dismantle and ship the parts out there to sell them. No be only oil we sabi ship out.

What kind of law allow dispossesion of one's property just for following a wrong route? That a harsh law. People own this bikes and depend on them for surviving. Why not just fine them?

Which organized society can't boast of constant electricity? There are more important things to worry about not the means of transportation. If the government stops motorcyclists from going about their business who creates alternative jobs for them?

So criminals don't use vehicles to commit crimes? Why not ban the use of vehicles as well? Oh of course that's so impossible as the rich will suffer the negative consequences.

@TinaAnita,...and to ask where the teeming population of Okada riders will be employed is to me a lack of imagination, not on your part, but that is the premordial sentiment being weeped by majority of pessimists and anti-progressives.People can always be engaged in whatever field that creates opportunities...

Wrong decision by the Lagos state government.
Dismantling for salvaging will help go a long way before crushing, also it should be given to technical students and technicians for reverse engineering.

What nonsense is this? They will destroy these while Nigerians are ordering for more from Overseas. Isn't this one of the causes of recession? Why not sell it outside of the State. ? There are many Nigerian States with great numbers of rural communities that don't have taxi. Okada bannings are only effective and enforced in the Urban areas
