Every successful company or organisations operates with a set of board of directors, BoD's are a set of individuals elected or selected to act as representatives for the company's shareholders, or the group of people the company’s actives are accountable too. It’s extremely rear to find a well established company or organisation that either doesn’t have a board of directors or a board of trustees that oversee its affairs.

As individuals, in other to achieve our full potentials I believe we should also surround ourselves with a personal set of individuals that will act as a sort of personal board of directors to our life affairs. They could be our friends, family, spiritual leaders, close relations, mentors, confidants etc. Numbering between 2-5, they'll be people who we could turn to for guidance in times of need, conflicts, personal dilemmas, life transitions, crossroads, in search of personal goals, and so on… They should be people who we deeply respect and admire their opinions, values and won't want to let down under any circumstances, and in return people that we know have our best interest at heart.

Its practically impossible for me to begin to explain all the advantages of having a personal board of directors who we're accountable too from time to time, we'll come to realise that if their present in our life is used correctly, they'll be there routing for us when we're experiencing the ups and there supporting and advising us when we're going through some downs turns also.

If we carefully select a group of individuals to act as a personal board representing our life affairs and who we're accountable too, they could easily serve as an instructor to preserve our core values in life, act as an encourager, a motivator, or even a counsellor in difficult circumstances.
The scriptures even tell us there is safety in a multitude of counsellors, and that doesn’t me they have to share the same background, beliefs or perspectives as we do, they simply just need to meet the standards of thoughtfulness, experience and insight that one desires, They must be compassionate and generous enough with their time to accommodate ones issues as of and when one needs their assistance, I suggest importantly to appoint or select people who are not judgemental yet strong in their opinions and views.

Overall, one major benefit they can bring to our self-development process is wisdom and knowledge to grey areas of our life’s, they can help, challenge or push us to reach heights we cannot reach by ourselves, whilst also giving us the added benefit of access to their own very lives, exposing to us the very real secrets reasons why we've deeply respected and selected them to our board in the first place. #OurDailyDose
