It about changes, developnent and re-orientation we all asked for.Anybody that can not adapt with the new development should pack his/her load and vamutt....if danfo don bash your car or conductor don rough, insult you before you go understand what i mean.

What would those Danfo drivers do when you take those buses away from them ??

Do you want them to go back to their Omo Nile job ??

Lagos would become a no-go area if those men are stripped off of their danfo business

You will turn those men into Arm robbers, kidnappers, money rituals, 419, drug dealers

This is why we will never ever ban Okada or motorcycle business in Anambra state, millions of families depend on the business

these fears are why we are still where we are. The agbero should go back to their villages. I see new faces driving keke along my street in port harcourt, these same keke drivers rob people at Nights. You will be surprised that none of your fears will happen if these buses are removed rather a saner environment.

Good development...but certainly bad news to afonja, cos their exclusive legacy of agberoism,touting,area_boism,owodaism,sèpè,ogogoro,monkey_tail magana,weed,ojeuelegba_underbridge amala_ewedu magana,.....will equally be off the street... grin grin grin
they will definitely relocate to the brown roof htrs to begin 'owomi da' operations grin grin

when we think certain things can't be done, Lagos state always has a way of proving everyone one wrong and setting the pace for others to follow.
time came, for Okada to be banned and people screamed "its not possible" and today its has become possible

waste management was next, we all said they can't remove truck pushers out the way, today we have PSP operating and keeping the environment cleaner.

BRT came, people said you can't toy with"MOLUE" but today ,molue have all but become a byword.

these Danfo buses have become a den of arm robbery,'one chance" and kidnapping, can't wait to see their backs

“We are changing the face of the transport system in Lagos state with fully air condition buses, charging port, CCTV and other infrastructure for the benefit of commuters.”
Hmmm.... never knew a/c and charging port and CCTV were infrastructure...and how would these reduce the transportation nightmare? Expected this guy to be talking about new roadways to ease the congestion and bringing mass transit to international standards.

EdifiedCEO:
Lagos State Ministry of Transport has no plan to ban yellow buses known as “Danfo” but to upgrade them to international standard, the acting Commissioner for Transport, Mr Lanrewaju Elegushi, has disclosed.

Elegushi made the disclosure in Lagos on Tuesday during a stakeholder’s forum to deliberate on how to improve the transport system in the state.

He said that the plan of the government was to restructure the transportation system in the state to international standard.

He said, “What we are planning is to restructure the transportation system in the state to meet international standard.

“That is why we organised this forum to seek the contributions of the people involved at the new Bus Terminal at Tafawa Balewa Square.

“We are changing the face of the transport system in Lagos state with fully air condition buses, charging port, CCTV and other infrastructure for the benefit of commuters.”

Elegushi said the government had also embarked on the building of standard bus terminus in various locations across the state, to standardise the transport system.

The acting commissioner appealed to the stakeholders to make judicious use of the new bus terminal at TBS.

Its funny how we are afraid of changes, even the positive ones, because we are used to how things use to be.

nawao for some Nigerians, even positive news still makes you complain... He wants to upgrade the transport system and you guys are whining about it.. but you will be the first to tarnish our transport system when you travel abroad, Is it not this same danfo that One Chance guys are using, have you heard of them using BRT bus for one chance. I tire for una ooh.

The labour force which this change will affect are crime prone. U don't want several thousand of uneducated weed smoking bus drivers ,conductors and agbero to be suddenly out of the job . Crime rate will sky rocket. Govt has to be careful in their approach of implementing this new bus of a thing

No problem atallatall, Keke and okada go still dey rock nah! The upgrade go put AC inside keke marwa. Trust Afoooons.

I wonder why some people are saying "if they are jobless they will turn armed robbery " this or that! don't we have laws guiding crimes? let them commit God willing they are caught.. they face the Law! or make a more strict Law.

The only thing Nigerians are good for is to bring out possible problems in any good initiative but never a solution to those problems. Please help me remind him what Fashola used those agbero for during his tenure.

This is the same way they were all shouting that we should let those South Africans kill our brothers and not attack South African entities here just because "they don't want Mtn to leave Nigeria so that people won't loss their jobs". Can you imagine how these people think. They know nothing about business.

Lasg has increased the fare of brt and have seen danfos as competitors and have decided to eliminate them. So while you all shout , pls note that the fares won't be as cheap as usual. So lagosians, prepare for rapid increment in transport fares
