Nigerians are so feeble minded. See condemnation. What you don't understand is that Civil Defense started just like Peace Corps. The allegation against Peace Corps is just begging the case: ill conceived and absolutely vindictive. There has been massive conspiracy against the corps from various quarters especially the paramilitary sectors amounting to several spurious allegations. Have you ever wondered why Nigerian Police remained the way they are? Have you ever wondered why army always choose to go without the police in operations that even need joint security apparatuses, and what made you believe that Peace corps was carrying out military training with arms. Nigeria is a country that is averse to change because of the beneficiaries of the bad status quo and people continue to suffer. The teaming population of the youths could be given light security training and their energy channeled towards solving numerous security needs of the country. Let's look at a country like Isreal and United States that have similar outfits. Above all I can beat my chest to tell you that all those allegations are just flimsy.

So u support this nonsense that is going in our security system? U are in support of indiscriminate creation of paramilitary organisation even though they are not needed but they have bribed our useless and corrupt national assembly.
Instead of reforming the police force, increase their salary, motivate, encourage sane and educated Nigerians to join police force and finance police force properly like it conterpact all over the world, they keep creating redundant and useless paramilitary that will only add to confusion on ground just because our national assembly has been bribed.

If I may ask, what has FRSC, VIO, NSCDC and others contributed to the society?
They are supposed to be department under police force in advanced and sane Country. Even all mighty EFCC should have been under police force.

It's better to scrap that agency..for being power intoxicated and causing confusions to already established agencies...

With a litany of unidentifiable uniformed paramilitary outfits splintered across the states, I had almost concluded that Nigeria has finally become a failed state earlier than we envisaged.

They even act with brazen impunity, flout traffic rules and brutalise "bloody civilians" like the average Nigerian soldier.

Almost all of these organisations have bills that have already been passed, or at advanced stage in the Senate. Yet some boneheads want to argue that the Senate is not Nigeria's greatest threat?

Succinctly put!

I bought the form for 2500, but something told me not to pay the 50k for training cuz I don't see their usefulness in this country. The reason y I didn't also pay, is because of this forthcoming recruitment in civil defense. If truly, civil defence wants to recruit additional 10000 personnel, then I see federal govt not signing this peace Corp stuff. Imagine peace corp saying they want the recruit about 800,000 youths..Na who go pay them? I have seen Old men and woman in their late forties and early fifties buying the form.

Note that the 50k is just the beginning of ur spending. You will have to hold like another 50k for feeding and ur general welfare in the camp. You will also be paying dues, fines, levies and tax.

Dickson Akor the National Commandant has really fed fat on ppeoples sweat. I remembered paying close to 10k for Peace Corp in 2002 in Anambra.

We spent 3 weeks in NYSC camp and they dispersed us telling us to always visit our LGA so that we will know when to resume work

Many people working with different companies resigned their jobs because of this ponzi job. The way we were beaten to inculcate discipline into us because of an utopian job.
We obeyed all their Lies as per job seekers who paid fast for FG job grin

The day the National Commandant came to camp, the girls that were selected for his pleasure oly that night will make Dino Melaye to question his senses for lusting after Remi Tinubu. Girls with fair skin were selected that day and they readily agreed because Mavrodi himself wants to sleep with you.
Thank God my babe in camp was dark in complexion so she failed Dickson Akor complexion test

Police should lock up that Dickson Akor

Is it going to be a crime if the Peace Corp bill finally gets implemented by FG, thereby reducing the level of unemployment rate that is overwhelming the country? Or can we say its not part of the job creation Nigerians re craving for?
Most of you spewing rubbish here about Peace Corp have our sisters, brothers, friends and well wishers into the ongoing exercise. Is it a crime if we pray for them to gain employment through this medium? Some people should please reason reasonably.

Peace Corps my ass
your dirty ass indeed, we all know the police are telling a white lie. it is unfortunate that the police are feeling threatened, the whole Nigerian police force is not up 200,000.(boko boys alone killed 90,000) a normal human being will encourage the formation of any agency that will assist the police.
Egypt has more 3 million police men, talk less of a country with more than 200 million people being policed by less than 200,000 police force. it is pity.

This is exactly the same case with Federal Task Force....Many were scammed and it repeated itself this time. When will people get sense? Four of my friends nearly fell for this Big Scam. The most annoying fact is that when you see this peace corp members with their uniform on the road, u will see plenty pride in them. Them go just dey misbehave. Its just so unfortunate that you all will have to burn those so-called uniform coz no more peace corp. Akor will have to answer for this shit.

I escorted a friend to purchase their form at their Choba office in Portharcourt last year. When we entered the office the lady collecting the money quickly instructed that she doesnt want to see anyone standing. I calmly pointed put to her that all the seat in the office were occupied hence no more sitting space.

She angrily ordered me to go and sit on the floor under the Sun for daring to talk back at her. I couldnt believe what i heard, i asked her to repeat what she said she said she will beat me up if i dont go and sit under the sun. even some of her collegues came and told me that how dare i disobey a state Exco. imagine the rubbish.. i couldnt help but laugh out loud as that was the funniest thing i ever heard in a long while.

I walked out of their premesis deeply concerned at what Nigerian youths were turning into. I regreted escorting my friend to the place. Crazy Egomaniacs.

On a more serious note we youth should reason rationally. Peace Corps have been doing their recruitment thesame for years. Why is it now that police see that they are about to absorb them. They now see that they are doing military training .the Peace Corps commandant knew that once the FG approved the bill, common man may not be able to join the Corp again, many of u commenting against Peace Corps will soon be praising them.
It is very clear and certain that the president will certainly approve the corps. If u have paid don't be panic u will definitely get the job
