Nigerians are so feeble minded. See condemnation. What you don't understand is that Civil Defense started just like Peace Corps. The allegation against Peace Corps is just begging the case: ill conceived and absolutely vindictive. There has been massive conspiracy against the corps from various quarters especially the paramilitary sectors amounting to several spurious allegations. Have you ever wondered why Nigerian Police remained the way they are? Have you ever wondered why army always choose to go without the police in operations that even need joint security apparatuses, and what made you believe that Peace corps was carrying out military training with arms. Nigeria is a country that is averse to change because of the beneficiaries of the bad status quo and people continue to suffer. The teaming population of the youths could be given light security training and their energy channeled towards solving numerous security needs of the country. Let's look at a country like Isreal and United States that have similar outfits. Above all I can beat my chest to tell you that all those allegations are just flimsy.

I escorted a friend to purchase their form at their Choba office in Portharcourt last year. When we entered the office the lady collecting the money quickly instructed that she doesnt want to see anyone standing. I calmly pointed put to her that all the seat in the office were occupied hence no more sitting space.

She angrily ordered me to go and sit on the floor under the Sun for daring to talk back at her. I couldnt believe what i heard, i asked her to repeat what she said she said she will beat me up if i dont go and sit under the sun. even some of her collegues came and told me that how dare i disobey a state Exco. imagine the rubbish.. i couldnt help but laugh out loud as that was the funniest thing i ever heard in a long while.

I walked out of their premesis deeply concerned at what Nigerian youths were turning into. I regreted escorting my friend to the place. Crazy Egomaniacs.
