You can now sign your name.

You can also communicate by spelling everything out cheesy

For signing, use the space around your chest.

Show your palm as you sign the letters assuming you are talking to a deaf person so that they can differentiate the signs clearly.

For ease of communication, people are given a sign name to avoid spelling the whole name every time they refer to a person.

Sign language differs a little from country to country, but there are general similarities that would still make people communicate;

Greetings

Hello
Sight like a salute (photo 1)

Good morning
(2nd photo, three steps)

Good afternoon
First two steps the the afternoon sign as in the photo

Many variations of good night

The second photo is another sign for night.

You can also cross your hands, depends on the language used

Re: Let's Learn Sign Language by Nobody: 1:53am On Mar 03, 2017
Activity :

Good Morning, my name is (spell your name)

Photos:
I, name

In sign language, you don't have to use perfect English grammar. So the sign is the second and third fingers held together. Tap twice to sign the word "name"

Then point to yourself

Then sign the letters of the name

LESSON 2
Today we learn about other greetings, and how to introduce oneself.

A few Greetings

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-e19ZqRIHs

Good day (make the letter "d" sign and with your elbow on the back of your palm, draw it toward your other elbow)

Where are you coming from:

Where

Are (letter "r", which is you index and middle finger held one behind the other. Its drawn from the mouth outward to sign "are"wink This may differ in other countries.

You (point the person with your index finger)

Coming (With your two index finger, roll them over each other toward yourself for "coming" and the opposite way for "going"wink

From(Cross your index fingers, one facing you and the other outward, then draw them apart as you curve your index fingers)

The below video is closest to the phrase that I could find. Also a slight variation; she signs "where" with her index finger.

I Am fine, Thankyou

Sign letter I and touch your chest with your side

It is an "A" handshape that starts out touching the chin then moves forward three inches or so.

Fine

Thankyou (above)

Remember to use your facial expression to match what you are trying to communicate while signing.

LESSON 3
There are drastic variations in signing family relations. I'll use American sign language because Nigerian sign language was derived from it.

FAMILY
To sign "family" make a letter "f" touching the two closed fingers with both hands, draw the hands apart as you turn them toward yourself
