K...when we were little, we where told that education is the key to success, but for us to find out that after finish from all manner of stress from the educational sector , only to realise that government had change the padlock

its annoying but necessary, no federal or star uni will accept as second choice ,
And private schools admit ppl weda u apply 4 them in jamb or not, so it was a nice move+ jamb is now 3 years validation, cut them some slack, at least the ppl going for jamb next year will reduce drastically

sir, nobody forced them to donate money for the building of the school o, and actually if we want to be real, its the rich ppl in church, the 1% that donates 80% of the cash.

The education these kids here are having is above Nigerian standard.

can they now pick two public universities as 1st and 2nd choice?

Even before this policy Covenant university already had an admittance rate of 60% for undergraduates. So I know d big priv unis would get people. And infact this policy would strain schools like CU because they would have a lot of unserious applications and may have to release multiple list as some ppl won't just resume. However can't say same for low rated private unis. They've always had a problem with enrollment so they probably pushed this agenda. However I would have canvassed for 3 choices; one for fed, one state and lastly private. So the two options for fed and state would remain viable since it is no longer a first-second choice selection but an individual slot for fg n state schools...
