This topic is desired by many for the facts that their automotive batteries behaves strangely in several occasions, thereby causing them great pain and confusion. However, the issues i am going to be mentioning about would involve both the battery and the vehicle that would use the battery. First of all, the battery should be sourced from a reputable and credible dealer or shop. This is because even the poorest quality battery could be re labelled with a popular brand labels and also a carton used, all to fake the buyer to pay so much for the poorest quality battery available. You may not know this but it obviously is the way many fake battery dealers make so much money. In addition to this, ensure that there is information about the brand you chose to settle for and there is warranty, such that should the battery fail to perform well, you can always go there to seek compensation or replacement. Note however that most sealed MF batteries are made to start their life the day they are sealed by the manufacturer, so if you buy the same battery one month after production, while another buy same 8 months later, and they are used in the same age of vehicle with similar features, the battery bought earlier after the manufacture should ideally outlast the second one placed 8 months after the production. Please note that any battery assembled in Nigeria under the supervision of Standards Organization of Nigeria should be preferred for the reasons stated above; 1- The manufacturer is on regular surveillance to avoid the activity of fakers or re labelling of their brands. 2 The life of the batteries are fresh and should give full value to users, unlike the fake imported or smuggled brands from far east Asia which life has largely dissipated. 3 The quality control measures by SON on Nigerian industries, like the sanity in the cable standards made in Nigeria, compared with the dangerous imported cables is a good reference point. 4. The treasability of the facility that deals with such product is a reason why they would never risk manufacturing or allowing their products to fall below the prime expectation of the users. Permit me to say that Forgo Battery Company Limited has got great automotive battery brands which have MANCAP certification and proudly assembled in Nigeria as the best bet and solution for automotive battery requirements. Forget about it these type of people just want to make money at the expense of others. I called him to know how many years guarantee and he says 2months. A good battery should have at least one year guarantee.

This very funny. You call a Nigerian built battery a good battery which had been supervised by SON. who is "SON" and what do they know about battery. Bring your battery to my workshop and let me run series of test on it to confirm with you it's a very good battery. Mind you the average shelf life of a conventional battery is 4months after which it should be subjected to a battery charger to get an optimum charge. Someone just mentioned you have a 2months warranty. That shows your battery is far fetched from being genuine

The real battery problems are with most vehicles and their users. Forgo Battery lifespan is between two to three years in brand new cars, unfortunately this category has actually less than two percent of the vehicles on Nigerian roads, with other fifteen percent, being tokunbo which could be less than fifteen years of usage. Other eighty three percent are an average of above twenty years old. The very old vehicles without genuine maintenance parts always affect battery life and this can be verified. Longer warranty are applicable to newer vehicle, while very older ones get shorter warranty and this is to avoid abuse and damage of the batteries by the users while the warranty subsist. So The battery life could reach two to three years regularly , while the warranty period depends on the customers vehicle age. FORGO Battery Surely remains the best quality and offer here. For contact 08030541302, Mr Alyx.
