Job description:

Reporting to the MD/CEO, the General Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role he will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy and management/leadership of permanent/contract staff including shop supervisors.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide leadership to all organizations and individuals in the factory in order to meet customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery
Provide development of staff leaders to guide plant and support organizations
Work with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirements
Lead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance and safety
Establish and maintain the plant vision for success
Facilitate the leadership team in strategic decision-making and problem-solving
Provide leadership development and performance feedback to the plant staff
Establish and maintain positive corporate citizenship through community organizations and the media
Develop and track expense and investment budgets with the input of each organization
Establish and adjust an organizational structure that best supports the factory’s goals and measurements

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related field plus at least 10 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Prior experience managing manufacturing operations in the electronics industry
Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
Strong organizational skills
Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects
Strong project and team leadership

Remuneration:
Salary: N3.6 million – N6 million per annum
