AM an undergraduate in one of the federal university studying engineering but i do not really find it interesting.I was made to study this course due to my parents pressure on me to be an engineer and i don't see myself doing good in life with this engineering course am studying because am not good in it. i once thought of changing my department to animal science because i got this love in rearing animals.
i have been thinking of leaving school to start up a pig farm which i have a very good knowledge on. i intend to work hard on this and grow my pig farm from 5 duroc pigs to at least 1500 in five years. I REALLY NEED ADVICE ON THIS.......please

Grow to 1500 how?? By multiplying your herd or buying animals to add up to them??
Will income be generated during this period?? Do you have the time and energy to run a piggery?? Do u have the space and financial muscle to raise 1500 pigs?? Feeding alone costs almost 800k per month??
There are a lot of things u consider when planning for long term farming. You need to discuss with someone who has handson experience so that you dont start and run out eventually
